Wireless Security Systems

For more than 15 years Tag Guard has pioneered the development of wireless security systems. They have a proven track record of success, are quick and simple to install and will deliver major savings on your security expenditure. The absence of cabling makes our security solutions (**link) simple to re-position as sites develop and change.

Our security systems cover:

Intruder Detection

Who is on your premises when they are unoccupied? What was their point of entry?  Which areas did they visit? And, most importantly, when they do enter your premises, what then protects your building and its valuable content from the risk of theft, vandalism and fire?

Tag Guard has the answers – and solutions – to all these questions. Our intruder detection systems are the most sophisticated available yet highly affordable. And they can be tailored to your exact needs and circumstances.

Our systems are a fraction of the cost of manned guarding and of course they don’t take tea breaks, fall asleep, spend hours on the Internet or leave the site on extended “breaks”.

Where appropriate, all systems conform to the necessary British Standards and Codes of Practice and are supported by the Company’s own ISO 9001 accreditation.

Perimeter Security

Protection of perimeters on many sites is the first level of security. Physical fences are necessary to indicate boundaries; but inside these fences an invisible IR ‘fence’ will detect an intruder long before he has got far enough to cause damage. It will also act as a 2nd line to deal with the site owner’s duty of care to 3rd parties – even if they are trespassing.

Tag Guard has the best available range of detection that will minimise unwanted alarm activity whilst raising immediate alerts when needed. Specially developed long range active IR beams and different PIR detectors can also be linked to Tag Guard’s cameras to pin point the intrusion and direct cameras to the exact location.

Wireless Camera Surveillance (CCTV)

Tag Guard pioneered the development of wireless CCTV and was one of the first companies in Europe to use dual data channels on the mobile phone network for video transmission resulting in two UK government ‘Smart’ awards for innovation.

Our wireless CCTV functions in exactly the same way as conventional CCTV but without the need for cabling.  It can be integrated with our wireless alarm systems to zoom straight to the intrusion zone and further enhance the deterrent and detection impact.

The absence of cabling provides clear benefits – it is much easier and simpler to install, 3G can be used if no ADSL broadband lines are available and it can be redeployed in any new location giving major reductions in overall security costs.

As with all Tag Guard wireless security systems our wireless CCTV is backed up by a 24-hour central monitoring service and we can react instantly to any incident alerting on-site security, mobile patrols or the police.

Current customers include councils, police community support departments, utility providers, rail companies, construction companies and major contractors.

Fire Alarm Systems

Fire is an ever present threat especially on building and construction sites. Our wireless, portable, fully monitored fire detection systems are the answer. Health & Safety legislation and more demanding insurance requirements mean that construction sites must have adequate fire detection and evacuation warning systems in place to protect site personnel.  And with corporate manslaughter legislation now in force it’s not worth skirting round the risks.

Easily moved to new locations or positions as work on site progresses Tag Guard’s fire alarm systems are equally suited to new or refurbishment projects.

As with all our wireless security systems Tag Guard’s fire alarm products are fully monitored by our own remote monitoring station that operates 24/7, 365 days a year. All our fire systems comply with the Joint Code of Practice for the construction industry and for the protection of empty buildings: fire and safety. The Code is produced by the FPA (Fire Protection Association).

The fire alarm range offers three levels of protection and is frequently operated in conjunction with the our wireless security and intruder detection systems, as recommend under the joint Code of Practice:

  1. Wireless smoke detectors providing a base level of fire detection
  2. Detection and evacuation warning system for site personnel, this includes break-glass units and klaxons for localised audible warnings
  3. The ‘maximum’ level this includes all our core fire alarm products but with the addition of a ‘Master Blaster’ siren for evacuation of the whole site

Apart from meeting all JCOP requirements for the building and construction sectors, you can be assured that we also conform to the necessary British Standards and Codes of Practice, supported by the Company’s own ISO 9001 accreditation.

Access Control

Part of the ‘total solutions’ approach to security has lead Tag Guard to offer access control systems. Recently launched is the access control module. It is a single unit delivered to site fully installed and ready to go. Similar to a standard site office it is deliverd off a lorry and is specially constructed to contain a turnstile, together with a route for tool boxes, access control systems and an office for security management and H&S inductions for site visitors.
